Singapore Day 2012, 14th April Prospect Park New York

See you there! Oh, just when I'm so missing the Bukit Timah Hawker Centre Hokkien Mee, Bendemeer Market Carrot Cake, Changi Village Nasi Lemak,  Golden Shoe Fish Soup, Red Hill Market Grilled ChickenWings...here comes Singapore Day in Brooklyn New York City! What a time for celebration. All of sudden, I feel so at home...so close to Singapore once again..Hey..but ain't I supposed to be very Torontonian already? What's happening?

Oh, maybe it's Teo Chee Hean I'll be seeing? or is Hossan Leong or the cast from the Noose? I'm sure my family and I will have a whale of time..So looking forward to it now..Singapore...oh oh here she comes~to Singapore Day at Brooklyn Park, New York City next Saturday!

  2. So, how's your 'pilgrimage' to NY? Reading your hubby's article made me feel blessed to be accessible to our type of food anytime. :) Btw, did you see the public sector was there to woo S'pore students and prof people to join our workforce?

    1. @Jewel,
yes, count your blessings..the mee pok (minced meat and fish ball), laksa, lor me, bbq chicken wing, satay, chendol, ching teng, fried hokkien mee, kuey zhap, etc, whenever you eat them, remember your dear friend in Toronto yearning for them. yes, they have booths, HDB, some ministries and banks etc. i think possibly encouraging young people to get a job in Singapore. not sure how many have signed up though. yes, getting the young people to work in Singapore is possibly one of the best channels for them to want to go back to Singapore.
