One Up, Congratulations, Workers' Party of Singapore!

This is what I call high-class politics in a first world party! One up, Workers' Party!

Your trump card was also your weakest link at one point - Yaw Shin Leong. Low Thia Khiang is indeed a warrior, the Sun Zi style..This is the kind of response that makes every one sit up...including someone like me, far far away in Toronto. I am indeed impressed, WP.

After digesting the news, I googled "allegations against MP of WP" and "allegations against MP of PAP". I found Yaw Shin Leong for the former and Foo Mee Har for the latter. I wonder if PAP was going to handle the allegations like the way WP has done so or will they simply sweep them under the carpet?

I believe the people want a strong answer, like the way WP has done it. There's a reason why I am saying it. Ever since I posted 2 blog posts on the CPIB probe, my blog receives at least twenty times more hits than normal days (for at three weeks). Besides being curious, the people want an answer, they want the government to be accountable to them at least about the outcome of the matter.

I must confess that at one point, I thought the WP was only good for show, cos after the election, I felt that PAP was really impressive with implementing sweeping changes such as firstly, "retiring" some of its weaker ministers, promoting the more capable ones and secondly, volunteering a pay cut for the ministers. For a moment, it was all action on the part of PAP. So, PAP kind of "won" me over. Now, WP has once again turned the tide in their favour, since PAP has at least for now, chosen to sweep the allegations against two of their MPS under the carpet, like the way they have ignored the angry comments of the people about Tin Pei Ling. If PAP chooses not to handle such seemingly "small" matter well, then maybe WP may be the ultimate winner.

Keep it up, WP!
